With tremendous expertise gained from a strong sales background, Kathy Kallner, of Prudential Arizona Properties, a division of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services , has leveraged unique skills and her dynamic personality into being one of the top-performing Realtors in the Phoenix area. For over 15 years, Kathy has thrived as an Associate Broker serving her Real Estate family by relying on a distinctive set of experiences and negotiation skills to set her apart from other agents.

Raised in the Midwest, Kathy studied Finance at Indiana University. Following undergrad, Kathy gained invaluable sales experience at the infamous Gallo Wines and then seg-wayed into a successful advertising sales career for NBC and CBS affiliates around the country. “That sales experience and learning a never-say-never attitude is what carried me forward as a real estate salesperson.” Kathy furthered her education gaining an MBA in Marketing at St. Louis University. With an attraction to Finance and Sales, Kathy opted for a position with Nation’s Bank and then Bank of America as a residential mortgage lender, introducing her to what would become a lifelong love of the Real Estate industry. It seemed a natural transition, following the births of her three children, to enter into the world of Residential Real Estate as an Agent.

Embedding herself in the Paradise Valley and Scottsdale community, Kathy and her husband, Mike, have raised their three children here. Involved in their schools and sports, their high school aged kids keep Kathy and Mike busy and active. “We love living here! The weather is awesome, the schools are great and the people thrive on a great active lifestyle! It’s a perfect fit for us!“

Overall Kathy serves Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, Arcadia and the surrounding area. Kathy feels her reassuring attitude, industry knowledge and expertise and fierce negotiation skills are what appeals most to her clients. “I love the negotiation part of my job and getting the most for my clients. My approach has always been to do the most for my clients right up to the bitter end of the transaction and then beyond. Most of my clients become friends and I love that!” A byproduct of her friendly but professional approach is that all of Kathy’s business comes referred to her by past clients, friends or people who are in the business.

“I would say my style is reflective of my personality. I am extremely disciplined and motivated but I have fun doing it! Really what I try to achieve for my clients is that they find a home for their very specific and personal situation. Whatever timing that means or size that means or direction that takes us is reflective of how I work with them.”

Although willing to work with any type of client, due to a natural progression in the business, Kathy often finds herself working within Arizona’s luxury market. “I’ve kind of grown up with my clients. Obviously when I started 15 years ago, my clients were younger people with different style houses and different income levels which led to different purchase prices. Many of my clients are people who I sold houses to years ago. As they’ve matured in their lives and careers, they’ve bought bigger and more expensive houses, and as a result, I wind up selling more expensive homes to and for them.” My move to Prudential Arizona Properties and their Fine Homes Division will support this business.

So what does Kathy love most about being a Realtor? “I love the relationships that unfold from working with people and being involved in such a personal decision-making process. At the end of the transaction, I end up with a happy client because they’ve accomplished their goal, which is to buy or sell a house. There are many bumps along the road, I’ve learned how to manage those bumps and protect my clients.”

Outside of real estate, Kathy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and working out. Kathy also loves racing in triathlons competitively. “I’ve done multiple Iron Man races and marathons. I have participated in nearly 200 triathlons, so that’s a big core group of people that I work with and hang out with. I think that carries over into my work with being super disciplined, super organized and paying attention to details. I have a really strong work ethic, probably because I have to fit a lot into my day. I go with the approach of the busier I am, the more I accomplish for my Real Estate family.”
